Sky high bangs, gigantic cell phones and moonwalk moves… who doesn’t miss the 80s? The decade was all about excess and being completely over the top. Duh! If you dream of going back to those neon days or even if you completely missed them the first time and wish you could get in on the fun, you’re in luck.

Presented by Heart and Soul Dance and Theatre Collective, ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas: Back to the 80s’ is a total blast from the past. With this show you can have your own totally choice "Back to the Future" experience. So set your Sony Walkman to rewind and get ready to head back to December 1986.

Running from December 13 to 15 at the Fernie Arts Station Theatre, this show is sure to be completely fresh. The cast will perform a range of over-the-top favourites from the me-first decade. This lighthearted show includes singing, dancing and fun to the max!

Attendees are welcome to come dressed in their modern-day attire, but 80s gear is encouraged. Besides, it’s December, so who doesn’t want to slip into a pair of legwarmers? To round out the event there will be a retro concession and beverages on site to enjoy before the show and during intermission.

Tickets for the show went on sale November 1 and are $20. This event is rated G, so it should be good fun for the whole family, though it’s suggested that kids 8 and up will probably enjoy it more than the little guys. In total, the show runs for approximately 1.5 hours and has a 15-minute intermission.

Once the final show ends on December 15, the totally tubular fun continues. The 80s themed after party will follow and is open to cast and ticket stub holders.
