Fernie’s Wednesday Socials Outdoor Concert Series is back in 2021!

Having taken place for almost a decade, this outdoor concert series is beloved amongst locals and visitors alike.

This year, this annual Fernie tradition is kicking off on August 4th and lasting until September 1st.

Hosted by The Arts Station, each Wednesday for the month of August Station Square will turn into a giant block party. There will be live music performed by a different local band every week.

Although the 2021 lineup has yet to be announced, you can bet it will be great. Past headliners have included DJ Jay Ray, Big Little Lions, and Hark Raving Sirens. Plus, you can expect to hear all types of music, from indie and folk to reggae and funk.

Each night will begin with a DJ, before transitioning into the main band or artist. Crowds usually start to form around 5:30 pm, with the headliner coming on stage at approximately 6:30 pm.

You can also expect there to be food trucks and other vendors on-site. In past years, local farmers and artisans have set up shop on Wednesday nights, adding yet another attraction to the event.

Wednesday Socials Outdoor Concert Series will take place on August 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, and September 1st from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The concerts are free to attend and there are no tickets necessary. The Arts Station just asks that everyone do their part to limit the spread of COVID-19 by wearing masks and maintaining a distance of six feet from others.

If you plan on visiting Fernie this August, then be sure to attend one of only five Wednesday Socials Outdoor Concert Series events happening in 2021. And if you need a place to stay during your visit, we’d love to host you at the Fernie Stanford Resort. We combine a scenic alpine location and family-friendly amenities (including a pool, water slide, and on-site restaurant!) with prices to suit all budgets.
