Love mountain biking?  Think your tough?  How about a 3, 4, or 7 day mountain bike race from Fernie, BC to Canmore, AB?!  The Trans Rockies race series is a set of races designed to push you to the limits.   If you think you’ve got what it takes (or just want to witness) this epic 330km race along some of the best singletrack in the Canadian Rockies, then you won’t want to miss this.

The race is broken down into three main categories, the TR3, TR4, and TR7  - with each number representing the number of riding days.  The TR3 is a 3-day race in Fernie, BC.  The TR4 is a 4 day race in Kananaskis, AB ending in Canmore.  While these races are shorter then the TR7, they are still very challenging in their own right and provide plenty of adventure for participants.  The main event, however, is undoubtedly the TR7 – considered a world-class mountain biking event alongside the Transalp, Cape Epic and La Ruta.  It can be done in teams or as a solo participant for the truly hardcore.  The course is over 330km long, with 12,000m of climb – so be prepared for one tough ride!

The route has been improved in recent years so that nearly 70% of the race takes place on pristine trails high in the alpine, providing one of the most incredible ways to experience the Canadian Rockies.  To keep the event’s appeal to a wider range of riders, the shorter routes (TR3 and TR4) are considered “difficult but doable”, so that the race is enjoyable for all participants.  Add to that a later start time (aka: much needed extra rest for riders), shuttles to accommodations between race days, and one of the best rider support systems and you’ve got all the things needed for a great race!

Riders have camping and meals looked after during the race, but you’ll want to check into one of our comfortable rooms for a great rest before you head out!
