Fernie based band, Shred Kelly, has been cutting their own path since the beginning of their careers. The folk-rock band has a contemporary sound that’s all their own. Dubbed ‘stoke folk’, Shred Kelly’s sound comes from the amalgamation of the band members’ varied backgrounds. Their lively and captivating performances always keep the crowd on their feet.

This year’s Stoke Fest features Shred Kelly and it’s definitely going to be an exciting and dynamic show. Taking place on March 21, Stoke Fest offers something fun and entertaining for everyone. Spend the day shredding on the hill and the night dancing until you drop.

Aside from Shred Kelly, there will be several other bands taking the stage. This year’s lineup includes: Moontricks, Megan Nash, Busy Patterns Hartt & the Gold, Sly Violet, and Topo (another local favourite). The family show will run from 5 pm to 7 pm. Then, from 8 pm to 2 am, the 19+ showtime (ID must be presented at the door) takes place. There will be a cash bar, merchandise tent, and coat check on-site at the event venue.

Tickets for Stoke Fest can be purchased online or in-person at Freyja Kootenay Boutique. Ticket costs for the early show are $5 for youth and $10 for adults (infants are free). Prices for the late show are $25. Adults also have the option of purchasing a combined ticket for both family and adult showings for $30. This is a popular and affordably priced event, so picking up tickets early is a good idea.
