It’s Canadian indie music at its finest, set against the most spectacular backdrop—the Wapiti Music Festival is a celebration of all things indie in the Canadian music scene and it takes place right here in Fernie along the banks of the Elk River in Annex Park.

On August 9 and 10 the Rocky Mountains will be vibing with the sounds of Wapiti. This all-ages event never fails to draw a large, enthusiastic crowd and this year is sure to do just that again. The extraordinary 2019 lineup includes Black Pistol Fire, Current Swell, Nuela Charles, Fake Shark, Jeremie & The Delicious Hounds, Carmanah, Leila Neverland, The Parsons, The Steve Brockley Band, and Mountain Sound.

Wapiti is an incredibly popular festival, so purchasing tickets early is recommended. Early bird prices for the weekend are $69/adult, $29/teen, free for Seniors 65+, free for kids 12 and under. Though some age groups get in for free, tickets are still required for children and seniors to ensure numbers are accurate. Prices do not include applicable taxes. Regular pricing for Friday is $49/adult, $29/teen, $5/senior. For Saturday it’s $59/adult, $29/teen, $5/senior and for the whole weekend, it’s $69/adult, $49/teen, $5/senior.

There will be ample food available so no one goes hungry, as well as craft tents for the kids, and plenty of event merchandise. There will also be beer on hand for the adults in the crowd.
