Ready to hit the slopes and get a blast from the past at the same time? Well, ready or not, the Kokanee Retro Weekend is set to hit the Fernie Alpine Resort on March 30. Break out those wicked fashions you swore would come back in style one day. It’s an unforgettable weekend of headbands, legwarmers, neon, spandex, and non-stop good times.

There’s nothing quite like the Kokanee Retro Weekend. Tease out your hair and hit the slopes in all your favourite gear from the 80s. Of course, it’s a given that there’s always great skiing here, but during retro weekend there will be plenty of other activities to take in too.

It goes without saying that frosty Kokanee will be on tap during the event and DJs will also be on hand from 3pm to 6pm to pump up the party atmosphere. The Plaza Beer Gardens will be open from 1pm to 6pm.

If you’ve skied and partied retro style all day, but aren’t ready to call it a day yet, you’re in luck. No 80s party would be complete without  a rockin’ party to round out the day. The Hot Tub Time Machine party will take place at Griz Bar from 9pm to 12am. Doors open at 8pm and DJ Rocswell will be spinning the 80s tunes during the retro festivities.

If you plan on being at Kokanee Retro Weekend you’ll need a place to stay. There’s no better accomodation in the Fernie area than the Fernie Stanford Resort. Located in the heart of the alpine action, the resort is perfectly situated for stunning views and unlimited excitement. That said, it’s also the ideal place to unwind at the end of a busy day. With spacious and comfortable rooms and luxurious amenities, you’ll definitely want to extend your stay.
