Valentine’s Day might be the star of February in most places, but Fernie isn’t like most places. Here, we’ll be celebrating the best of mountain culture with ski events, cross-country competitions and more taking place throughout the month. We also ensure you’re thoroughly entertained during your stay, with comedy, music, and movies all on the agenda. Book your stay at Fernie Stanford Resort and you’ll be right in the thick of the action, while also able to relax - especially in our sauna and outdoor hot tub!

Canadian Comedy

Tom Green might just be the most famous Canadian comedian we have, and he’ll bringing his special and unique talents to Fernie on February 16 for a night of rip-roaring, close to the bone comedy. He’ll be performing at The Northern from 9pm as part of his ‘Snow Jam’ tour. What will he say, and what crazy stunts might he perform? There’s only one way to find out…

Fernie Folk Rock

It’ll be two nights (and one evening) of local talents on February 17 - 18, when Stokefest will be making visitors and locals alike dance all night to some of Canada’s finest music. The event will be headlined by locals Shred Kelly, though there are plenty of other acts on the bill too. Shows run from 8:30pm - 2am on Friday and Saturday night, with one show on the Saturday from 5:30 - 7:30pm.

Movies from the Mountains

The Fernie Mountain Film Festival will be taking place on February 24 and 25 at the Fernie Community Centre. This great event will include the showing of mountain related films, such as climbing, trekking, conservation, and more. There’s also to be a bar with a local favourite, drinks from the Fernie Brewing Company! Now if that’s enough to convince you, nothing will.
