Fernie Chautauqua and Fall Fair

Bring on the Autumn vibes! This year’s Fernie Chautauqua and Fall Fair is sure to be an amazing arts and culture festival. The whole family will enjoy the many activities, entertainment and exhibits this year has to offer, from live music, heritage crafts and hobbies, blue ribbon contests, an art walk, culture crawl and more! Taking place September 14 - 17, this all ages event is a great way to mingle with the community and learn about Fernie’s rich cultural heritage.

Fernie Lions Demolition Derby

For the typical safety minded driver, there are few things more satisfying than watching a bunch of souped up cars and trucks causing chaos and mayhem, crunching and crashing without a single care for how much damage results. In fact, the more the better! This is exactly what you’ll find at the Fernie Lions Demolition Derby, a wild smash-em-up event that’s been held every Labor Day for more than 40 years. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for youths, students and seniors.

Fernie Outdoor Summer Concerts

Come dance, sway and sing along at Fernie’s free outdoor summer concerts! Taking place every Wednesday in August, there’s still time to catch the last show of the season. Will Ripley, an electrifying guitarist and teacher from Vancouver, will be wrapping up the summer’s big season finale. Food trucks, a beer garden serving locally made beverages from 6-9pm, and children’s games will be available at the event.
