Colour Your World At The Fernie Colour Crawl

If you’re looking for a bright, boisterous activity for the whole family, you won’t find a more uplifting event than the Fernie Colour Crawl. After all, how can you be anything but joyful when you’re covered in all the colours of the rainbow?

That’s right, when you participate in the Colour Craw you’re pretty much guaranteed to come out a different colour (actually, many different colours). The event is a very casual 5km run (or walk, if you prefer) in downtown Fernie. The twist—at the various stations along the route volunteers douse participants in a dizzying array of non-toxic colours.

Of course, with this kind of expected mess, participants are encouraged to wear clothes that they don’t mind altering. Those who want a souvenir from the event can simple wear a white t-shirt as part of their ensemble. By the end of the race it’s sure to be a one of a kind piece of fashion.

Registration for the Colour Crawl takes place Friday, September 21 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Sat, September 22 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The race begins at 11:30 am at the Fernie Arts Station. This is also where the event ends. A finish line party is set to take place immediately following the race. The celebration will feature music by the Hark Raving Sirens, beverage gardens, and a craft station for the kids. Additional details about the day are soon to be announced.

This annual event is a fundraiser for the Fernie Childcare Society.
