St. Patrick’s Day is fast approaching. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to spend the holiday in Fernie. From heading to Fernie Brewing Company for their monthly beer launch to enjoying a night of drop-in curling at the Fernie Curling Club, check out the top 3 ways to spend St. Patrick’s Day in Fernie.

Team Trivia Night at Park Place Lodge

Park Place Lodge is hosting a Team Trivia Night this St. Patrick’s Day. Kicking off at 8:00 pm on March 17th, this event is free to attend and there will be dinner specials. Prizes are allotted for the first and second place winners. And if it’s anything like last year’s St. Patrick’s Day trivia night, then there might even be live music and Guinness!

Enjoy a Flight at the Fernie Brewing Company

What better way to spend St. Patrick’s Day then at Fernie’s very own brewery, the Fernie Brewing Company. They are known for their extensive selection of craft beers and even have a few new releases this March. The Headwall Hazy Pale IPA, which pays homage to Fernie’s iconic backdrop, made its debut on March 3rd, while the Timelapse Helles Lager was released on March 10th. They also currently have a promotion going on in support of Ukraine, where all proceeds of their Rambling On Amber Ale will be donated to Doctors Without Borders.

Drop-in Curling

One last way to spend St. Patrick’s Day in Fernie is by heading to the Fernie Curling Club for a drop-in session. Thursday night curling is open to anyone and costs just $10 (all equipment included). So grab a team, dress up in your most festive green attire, and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on the rink!

If you’re going to be in Fernie this St. Patrick’s Day, then we suggest getting into the Irish spirit and celebrating with the events above. And if you need a place to stay while in town, we’d love to have you at the Fernie Stanford Resort.
