Directions
to Fernie
|
From Calgary:
There are two routes from
Calgary to Fernie.
1. Scenic Route, approximately
3 hours
Head south out of Calgary
on Highway #2 and take the
Okotoks exit. Go through
town and take a right on
Highway #7, which ends in
the town of Black Diamond.
Turn south on Highway #22
and follow this “Cowboy
Trail” until you reach Highway
#3 (Crowsnest Highway).
At this intersection turn
right (west) and it will
lead you through the Rocky
Mountains to Fernie.
2. Poor Weather Route,
approximately 3.5 hours
Head south out of Calgary
on Highway #2 toward Fort
McLeod. When you reach Highway
#3 (Crowsnest Highway) turn
west. This will lead you
to Fernie.
From Cranbrook Airport:
Head west on Airport Road
and turn left (south) toward
Cranbrook on Highway #95a.
Turn left (east) toward
Fernie on Highway #3 and
enjoy the scenery to Fernie.
From Kalispell, Montana:
Head north on Highway #93
and follow through Whitefish
and the US-Canada border.
Continue on this highway
until its meets Highway
#3 and turn east (right).
Follow this highway and
you will reach Fernie within
20 minutes.
From Spokane, Washington:
Follow Highway #95 north
through the US-Canada border.
Continue on this highway
until you reach Highway
#3, where you will turn
east and be in Fernie in
no time.
