New Year’s Eve in Fernie

Looking for a last minute New Year’s Eve party in Fernie? The legendary Griz Bar is hosting its annual bash, which is always one of the hottest events in town. Rock in the new year with live music from the Todd Sellecks, great people, and a toast at midnight. Tickets are $35 and can be obtained at Fernie Alpine Resort’s Guest Services. This event always sells out, so make sure you get yours ASAP! This is a 19+ party.

Never go to the stanford on new years eve, especially on a downhill riders trip. You will be treated like a bum off the streets. We were refused service at the restaurant because they wanted to close early. We were told to do our own sheets when we left because our condo had a washing machine. The hot tub looked like green vomit and the security everywhere were very unwelcoming. And i guess towels are a hot commodity cause it was like pulling teeth just to get some to go swimming. Worst of all, the morning after we arrived, the hotel decided that their continental breakfast-which is advertised FREE outside on a big yellow bus- was now going to cost ten dollars! Over cooked eggs, greasy sausages and cereal wasn't worth my money. We walked out without paying, which was very easy because there wasn't any staff except security. I will never stay here again and will do my best to convince my friends at downhill riders to seek a new hotel when in fernie!!!
