In recent weeks Fernie has seen a dusting of new snow along many of the mountain tops. Both locals and visitors alike get that tinge of excitement in anticipation of the coming winter season. The almanac predicts yet another stellar snowfall. The Fernie Alpine Resort is scheduled to open in early December. It's time to hit the ski swaps and shows, going home afterwards to dream about that 29 feet of pure powder that Fernie is famous for.
Rumours abound about more upgrades to the Fernie resort in the coming years. It just keeps getting better.
