The month of May is where it all begins, and it starts this weekend with the annual Relay for Life fundraiser on Friday, May 6 at 7:30 at the Vogue Theatre. Enjoy a screening of Mamma Mia, followed by an after party picnic including glamour photo shoots, auction and a free drink. Tickets are $30 and all proceeds go toward the Relay for Life, supporting cancer research for Canadians.
For creative types, Saturday, May 7 offers up a real treat with John DeJong’s “Realistic Animals” art workshop taking place all day from 9:30 to 5:30 at The Arts Station. This comprehensive workshop will teach you how to create and paint realistic animals and is suitable for all skill levels.
